Dun Seanna Head – Sea stacks, surf&turf
August 10, 2016 by Louise in climbing

This was our first experience climbing an Irish sea stack, aptly named The Needle. Intimidatingly exposed but superb climbing, though a little green in patches. Only reached by abseil so make sure to bring an extra ab rope with you and leave it hanging. A curious seal came to say hello just before we began climbing. Bring lots of snacks… once you’re down on platform beneath The Needle, only option is climbing out.
